Rain and Politics Just Makes Me Happy
Hey ya’ll,
The ward 4 forum presented by Starkville Daily News from the Greensborough Center downtown is over and Richard did well. Plus it was raining and I got to talk to people outside while standing in the rain which makes me happy. I love the rain. So since I'm in a happy mood, it is time to post a happy post. True, this is not my normal kind of post or my normal style of writing in the poem thingy below, but hey, I like the rain. No, the poem is not about rain. So without further ado, here is the poem:
“A Lady so Special”
When it comes to liking someone,
Something always stands out.
Yet you’re never able
To quite put your finger on it.
What makes her so cute?
Is it the sparkle in her eyes
Or the flow of her hair
Or the cute little way she smiles?
What is it that shines so bright?
Is it the approach in which she sees
Or the way she believes
Or just how she thinks?
What is it that has me hooked?
Could it be the passion
In which she so amazingly displays,
The beat of every hope?
What does she have
That I can’t help but like?
She is her.
The passion of fire,
The spirit in the breeze,
The beauty of a sunset.
Unknowingly,
With every turn and every glimpse,
She reveals what only she can,
The beat of life.
That is what I like.
That is what I can’t help but like.
Happy, happy, happy. Now I’m off to continue watching some of my favorite sit-coms on CBS (“two and a half men” on now, but they are all awesome). Cheers to the monkeys in the deep blue see and the donkeys flying in the air. Nite Nite folks.

TV will rot your mind. It has attributed to the slow decline of society over the last half a century. For the most part the programing is repetitious and non-thought provoking. Television will destroy society and you.
I do just fine with watching tv thank you. TV doesn't destroy society, people do. TV has been in society for 50 years and has connected people world over. I like my TV. Its not about lessons, although they are there. Its about enjoyment and relaxation and learning. TV is perfectly safe for society.
TV hasn't connected shit.
You need to read Bowling Alone.
More Reading.

i watch c-span on tv. I was in D.C. watching the Condi Rice confirmation hearings on C-Span one day when Matt, Ed Sanders and I, along with some friends, decided to go find it and we did. we walked right in and sat down and watched it in person. We sat in the same room with barak obama, john kerry, barbara boxer, and condi herself. I know I probably wouldn't have felt so cool if i hadn't just been watching it on TV. So here's a big fat thank you from me to TV for making me feel cool. plus i wouldn't have know it was even going on because i was very tired at the time and happened to have some free time.
hey,
ya'll realize my post had nothing to do with watchin tv right. i just happenned to be fixin to watch csi: miami and i needed a close.
and i ain't reading statistics about watchin tv. who ever made them wasted money and time.
and anonymous, sign your name (i'm sure it is brooks though).
Hey I like CSI Miami too! Yay Matt! Good taste in tv shows!
dramas = all the csi's, jag, the west wing, boston legal, 24 (only tv show on fox i watch), desperate housewive's, & numb3rs
cartoons/animation = ninja turtles (foxbox) and batman (wb or upn) on saturday mornings
reality = survivor, amazing race, the mole
sit-coms = lots and lots, mainly on cbs & abc
sports = sportsreporters, sportscenter (duh), around the horn, pardon the interruption, the best damn sports show period, and college football's "college gameday"
politics & news= "washington journal" on c-span, peter jennings is my 5:30 guy, crossfire, the end of cavuto show & o'reilly show (disagree w/ both usually), american morning, 360 w/ anderson cooper, sunday mornin talk shows
i like stuff on the history channel too
Fox and Friends sucks. The show is funny but please tell Steve Doocy that his show is no where close to being fair and balanced. It heavily commentary, very little news. And I'll take Jack Cafferty over Man Cow anyday. Go Bill Hemmer and Soledad O'Brien.
Give it up for American Idol!!!!
American Idol sucks and is a disgrace to reality shows. Just playing j-val. although i do like nails and chalkboards better.
charlie,
fox"news" sucks. american morning entertaining, but more biased than the other tv mornin shows combined.
wonder who i wrote this poem about. FYI: it was written well before the post, but since i've been in college.
